Power Spring Torque Curve Acceptance at Multiple Turns
List agreed torque limits at defined turn positions, direction and test speed. A single maximum value does not characterize useful operation.

Provide a direction diagram referenced to a visible housing or shaft datum and use a setting fixture that enforces the approved motion.
Measure winding and unwinding curves under representative conditions. Their difference includes contact losses and should remain visible in the report.
Housing roundness, concentricity and contact can alter assembled friction. Compare housings before attributing all scatter to spring manufacture.
Treat the change as a new geometry review. It can affect curvature, available rotation, end engagement and output.
Only if the specified attachment has been designed and validated for the transmitted load. Contact with a wall is not proof of retention.
